About Me
With a natural approach and feminine sensibility, I use traditional, meditative processes to create textiles, sculptures and land art which explore shared themes between the feminine and the earth.
Based at Krowji, Redruth, Cornwall, I am inspired by the surrounding landscape steeped in folklore to explore how materials intertwine the natural and cultural world. Focusing on the process, I work in a reciprocal relationship with nature by foraging for materials to create a communication with the land. It’s an interwoven practice to interconnect people, place and earth.
Sculptures
Consisting of pit-fired foraged clay, woven willow or cob mix (clay, sand and straw) as immersive installations that help people reconnect to nature and themselves.
Textiles
Engaging in slow traditional processes and using waste wool and foraged plants, I naturally dye, spin, weave, felt and tuft, often in combination with plants.
Clothing
To promote slow fashion and reuse of waste materials, I create upcycled patchwork dungarees and woollen waistcoats. I also experiment making silver jewellery in organic forms.
