My Sculptures explore shared themes between nature and the feminine. Inspired by local folklore, as stories of indigenous wisdom, they encompass a spirituality which holds a feminine sensuality and understanding of surroundings. They are spaces to reflect, meditate, and be restored, helping people reconnect to nature and themselves.

As a union of spiritual and material, they intertwine materials to disrupt their gendered associations and challenge the stereotypes and binaries of past and present. I use traditional processes like willow weaving and pit-firing, and natural, foraged materials like cob and clay. Foraging and building create a dialogue with the land, materials and history. The clay from Neolithic sites rekindles a life that honoured the earth’s materials, surroundings and beauty. Building with these materials brings us therapeutic and meditative benefits. Its primitive nature helps us tentatively engage with the earth, connecting us all.
